Linger

Linger is an evolving body of textile work delving into emotional labor, memory, and the fluidity of identity through the material language and processes of fiber art. Rooted in the artist’s personal experience of growing up in a single-parent household, the series reflects her dual role: not only as a daughter but also as an unconscious guardian of her mother’s emotional burdens. Years of absorbing these unspoken pressures fostered a muted emotional landscape within her — a state of dulled perception. This series of works as a transient, fragile space—a momentary suspension between emotion and memory, born from the impulse to flee.
